Social Media

I have a facebook account (actually two) and just don't understand the obsession some people have with it.  I understand that on the surface that may sound somewhat disingenuous considering that I have not only one, but two facebook accounts, but I have my reasons.  My second account is for my internet gaming personna
and quite literally serves a more global purpose as my "gaming only" profile.  It lets me stay in touch with my online gaming friends from Mexico to Russia, and everywhere else in between.  I can log in, see if there are any upcoming tournaments through subscriptions to certain servers, see if any of my friends are online and ask them if they are going to play, then we can jump onto the server together.  To be honest I find more uses for my "gaming profile" than I do for my "real" profile, once I accept a friend request on my "real" profile I unsubscribe from any and all updates immediately because I'm just not that interested in every single insipid detail of people's lives.  If it's really that interesting or urgent, and we're cool like that, I'll probably be getting a call, no?  One by-product of facebook that I actually do enjoy is lamebook.  The saying used to be, "think before you speak", as some of these posts show, these days people really need to think before they post.

Just one more thing, if you are accessing your social media on a public computer, make sure you log out before you leave or this could happen to you. Something like this is pretty hilarious when it happens to someone else, if it happened to you though it'd probably not be so funny.
